I would like to believe that possible legal repercussions were the factors involved in closing the Site to camping or parking. Without knowing what type of liability lawsuits might arise from actions on the Site, I too might lean toward the side of caution. Not everyone coming to Woodstock is a 'good and decent' person and 'bad' things can happen. Who would be sued for damages??
As a businessman, I would want to be prepared before exposing myself to possible law suits (real or imagined).
If there were legitimate reasons for not allowing greater access to the Site, then why didn't you explain them to the media?? That action would have quelled many unfounded rumors. I would think that your public image has importance.
