Woodstock Site

A small portion of the 1969 Woodstock site photographed in the 1990's. The Peace sign has been mowed into the field. Visible to the left is the Woodstock Monument. The stage area was to the far left (not shown). Sent to us anonymously...

Thanks for the memory

Woodstock Reunion
Left to right (not politically): Aaron "Pie Man" Kay (air guitar?), Day Yusko, "Pilgrim", Daniel Eggink, Bill Miller, Abigail Storm, and Angel in an impromptu performance at the Woodstock Festival site in Bethel N.Y. 1993. In the background is the original stage area.

A Woodstock Nation Welcome

Woodstock Police
The MAN working hard to keep those errant hippies in line at the 1991 Woodstock Reunion. What's the matter, Officer Neuenhoff... nothing better to do
or are you really a "Closet Hippie"??

Woodstock Monument
The magic never dies - Dan & Abigail at the Woodstock Monument

1991 Reunion - Will Callaghan, of The Save The Earth Society. We want to thank Abigail Storm for the use of these photos. She and the Woodstock Nation Organization are working tirelessly to protect and preserve the original site for future generations. Our hats are off to them all for their perseverance.
For updates, check out the Woodstock Nation site.

Below are some photos taken in 1996 by WayneG and Smiler...Thanks folks

A few early faithful in 96 waiting for the party to begin. Later, the roads were closed to all except for the locals.

Dancing in Max's field

The Monument...the Field...and a few of the faithful

A Woodstock fact...tents attract Troopers...Troopers attract dogs!!! Life's funny that way. By decree, no fires-vehicles-tents are allowed on the Woodstock site.

A Woodstock Wedding
Closed to vehicles, these folks were forced to walk 2 miles to exchange wedding vows at the Woodstock site.

WayneG, Smiler and "Save The Earth" friend

And here are some more taken at 1997's reunion bash.

Amateur musicians make music

Dove on the Monument

Another colorfully painted bus

Yasgur's Barn renovation...notice the painted windows!

Painted windows by Jewel Eggink) in Yasgur's Barn. Each window in the barn shows a different rock star. This one is of The Doors, Jim Morrison

Arlo & Melanie

Simon & Garfunkel

The Who & John Lennon

The sun sets on Filipini Pond for one more year!

Here's a pic from Yasgur's farm that I took this year at the 27th reunion--enjoy it. I do some of the announcing at the reunions each year. Yours in peace, love and music
BOB KRISTOPHER ( raven69@vgernet.net ).

Signs of the Times!!

30 years after...and the magic lives on!

Here's some 1994 reunion pics from our friend, Bobbi Pabst ( ladybear@snowcrest.net ). She sent some giant panorama shots, but unfortunately, our scanner is about 4 feet too short!! (but we're still trying to reduce them to visible size) ;) We've tried to show the best parts.

Some things stay the same!! This is a group of New Age Christians from Vermont who live communally.

Beat the drums loudly!

The stage might be less elaborate than Saugerties, but, certainly, none the less fun. This is one of the secondary stages.

Saugerties didn't have the only Mud People at their concert. Of course, Woodstock '69 spawned the originals.

Another form of "green Peace".

How do I get there from here?? The guy by the sign is from Germany. He hung out with us the whole time. He is a seasoned world traveler named Volker.

"Be careful, hippies own these expensive motorhomes!" A gathering of "Peacekeepers" at Fort Apache??

I wonder if they thought they would really be able to keep people off the grass!!

Doesn't look like they were very good at it!!

A sea of blue (tarps that is)!

Bobbi (backpack) & Bonnie (scarf)! Peace, man! (See in the Enlightenment Wing for the 1969 version.).
